Counselling and Psychotherapy

Counselling is often a structured, short-term approach, focused on specific issues that you may be struggling with. Psychotherapy, on the other hand, is usually longer term and addresses more general issues of repeated patterns, how you may have been affected by your past experiences, transforming the unconscious into awareness, and building on your inner qualities to help you live life to the full. Counselling and psychotherapy can be interchangeable, and they both have their own merits and benefits.

The areas that we can work through in our sessions include, but are by no means limited to:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Low self-esteem
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Relationship issues
  • Anger management
  • Life transitions
  • Sexuality
  • Body image and eating disorders
  • Addictive behaviors

I offer both open ended long-term sessions and short-term sessions depending on your needs.
